Meet Dr. Jenny Zhu
Dr. Jenny Zhu is a native New Yorker who was raised in the lower east side of Manhattan. After finishing Brooklyn Technical High School, she earned a BS in Biology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
She then earned a DDS from NYU’s College of Dentistry in 2004, graduating in the top 5% of her class. She followed that up with three additional years of specialized training in orthodontics at Columbia University to attain a Master’s degree in Orthodontics.
Dr. Zhu has had braces twice in her life, first as an adolescent and then again as an adult. Because of this experience, she is better able to address the concerns facing her patients.
She understands that orthodontic treatment is a life changing decision, a patient must not only select an excellent doctor, but an office with a quality staff as well. For this reason, she and her team always strive to provide the highest level of professionalism and clinical treatment.
Other accreditations include previous Diplomate status with the American Board of Orthodontics – an achievement based on the highest standard of knowledge and clinical skill in the field. While at NYU, she also achieved a Certificate of Honors in the field of Orofacial Pain and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders. At Columbia University, her thesis in the area of Bone and Mineral Research won an award presented by the Northeastern Society of Orthodontists.
In 2003, she was granted an honorary dental degree from the Honduras National Dental School for her humanitarian outreach work with under privileged children of that nation.
